The latest version from gv as provided by PLD is from 
Tue Nov 26 14:40:26 2002
so I assume that CAN-2002-0838 might be considered, the latest entry in 
/usr/share/doc/gv-3.5.8
is from June 21st, 1997 (!!) so I am unable to see if this is indeed the case. Please take care of CAN-2002-0838 (if still necessary) and then
*) Update the changelog or
*) Add a changelog.pdl.gz where you enter changes/patches
   from PLD
