Ticket ID: #480
Ticket URL: http://bugs.pld.org.pl/?bug=480
Package: installer-bootdisk_net
Distribution:
Category: doesn't work as it should
Current state: opened
Text:

Both realtek 8139 (8139too) and realtek 8029 (ne2k-pci) don't

work in my computer under PLD bootdisk_net ( I tried regular
and 2.4version of bootdisk). On my other computer (pentium 2 on BX motherboard + voodoo3)
all works fine. My computer is K6-III on ALI15xx motherboard with voodoo3 graphic card.
When I run installer on my computer, eth card is detected, I am choosing dhcp config, or setting all manually then when installer try to download packets
it to sth like thic (copied from dmesg):
with 8029: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out \n eth0: Tx timed out, lost interrupt? TSR=0x3, ISR=0x3 t=22
when I using 8029 sometimes it can succesfully get configuration from DHCP, but few seconds later I got WATCHDOG message and it don't work...
when i use 8139 I got in dmesg error: eth0: Tx queue start entry 4 dirty entry 0 \n eth0: Tx descriptor 0 is 00002000 (queue head) , it is repeating 4 times (witch different descriptor number). Both card are working perfectly on my Slackware, I tried different IRQ numbers, different slots etc. but without result.
