Hello !
Could the following be added to the 

search -?

(or at least the man page):

For example to find the rpm(s) containing foo.bar do
search --perlre /foo.bar/
For more details see perlre.1 

The latter man page btw. is not always installed (according to above search, only in recent perl). And small examples never hurt :-))
