If there are still jobs queued when the machine is rebooted, and they belong to non local users (e.g. over NIS) then the jobs are aborted instead of rescheduled:
Feb 10 10:22:20 boniek atd[725]: Userid 518 not found - aborting job      234 (b000ea0109aa47)

atd has to be started *after* ypbinding to avoid this.
