When upgrading glibc-misc (and glibc, glibc-devel, glibc-static, iconv,
and localedb-src) from 2.3.4-0.20040505.1 to 2.3.4-0.20040522.1, the
file /etc/ld.so.conf is moved to /etc/ld.so.conf.rpmsave, but no new
/etc/ld.so.conf is created. This causes ldconfig to fail later in the
upgrade:
