There is on http://www.matrox.com/mga/support/drivers/files/linux_07.cfm and in ftp://ftp.matrox.com/pub/mga/archive/linux/2001/beta_1_3_0/mga-1_3_0beta.tgz
file  mgaHALlib.a.
This file is necessary to build mga_hal_drv.o which one is very importent to maintain all avaible features of G400 DH.

Matrox company in sources mentioned above support among others xfree 4.3.0, but file mgaHALlib.a is one for all versions of xfree and new xfree 4.4.0 has own support for build mga_hal_drv.o -- see xfree86.cf.

It means that it is enough to attach  mgaHALlib.a to sources and correct xfree86.cf (or sth like this) and of course spec file.

If pld maintain support for nvidia binary drivers there should   
not be any legal problems with add support for mga_hal_drv.o .
