As far as I can tell, the package 'svgalib' requires the kernel module 'svgalib_helper'; without it, svgalib is useless. The module was formerly provided by the package 'kernel-video-svgalib_helper' (as of PLD-1.x). There do not seem to be any packages containing this module either in nest-test or in PLD-2.0-*. I would appreciate it if someone would resume packaging svgalib_helper, or if no-one wants to bother, declare svgalib deprecated and remove it.
