      Summary: gimp xcf.gz opening file broken
  
  .xcf.gz is a valid gimp format. The file fails to be opened in gimp
since a few last versions of gimp-2.2. Easy to reproduce - save a file
as xcf.gz and then try to open.

The fix is to create the missing ~/.gimp-XXX/tmp directory
