  A newer version of libgc is available, version 6.4.

All future releases of Inkscape (http://inkscape.org/) will require
libgc 6.4 or newer.

The next release of Inkscape is only days away (version 0.41).  The new
dependency on libgc 6.4 will likely be the biggest headache for users of
RPM-based distributions trying to install future versions on Inkscape.
