tested:
GTK_NEW = gtk+2-2.12.0-3.i686 from th-test
GTK_OLD = gtk+2-2.10.14-1.i686 from czarny (old CVS version doesn't build for
me...)
FLASH_OLD = adobe-flash-9.0.48.0-1wla.i686 from CVS

released to fix some problems with gtk2

and:

GTK_NEW + FLASH_OLD = konqueror crash and junk, no flash + opera crash and
junk, no flash
GTK_NEW + FLASH_NEW = konqueror no flash + opera junk, rarely crash, no flash
GTK_OLD + FLASH_OLD = konqueror no flash + opera junk and plays flash movie!
GTK_OLD + FLASH_NEW = konqueror no flash + opera junk, no flash

where:
crash = program not responding + nspluginviewer ~90% CPU usage (sometimes opera
not crashes, but no flash is played)
no flash = in konqueror: nspluginviewer (plugin): ERROR: Can't create plugin
class in opera: just no flash movie is played
