xterm from X11-6.9.0-5

After upgrading X11 polish letters don't work in any application (like
vim) AND xterm itself. However they appear in xev output:

KeyPress event, serial 27, synthetic NO, window 0x1000001,
    root 0x3c, subw 0x0, time 340253, (375,-308), root:(379,253),
    state 0x0, keycode 113 (keysym 0xfe03, ISO_Level3_Shift), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes: 
    XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes: 
    XFilterEvent returns: False

KeyPress event, serial 30, synthetic NO, window 0x1000001,
    root 0x3c, subw 0x0, time 340666, (375,-308), root:(379,253),
    state 0x80, keycode 46 (keysym 0x1b3, lstroke), same_screen YES,
    XKeysymToKeycode returns keycode: 25
    XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (b3) "ł"
    XmbLookupString gives 1 bytes: (b3) "ł"
    XFilterEvent returns: False

and one can paste it into xterm window. alt-backspace doesn't work
either. Any ideas?
