Did anyone encouter problems using this module with PHP 5.2.1? An hour
or two ago I have upgraded my apache and PHP (from 5.1.6) and since then
had some problems with site based on symfony. Until I've uninstalled
eaccelerator...

It doesn't work correctly here with php 5.2. Sometimes it does stupid things 
breaking php code.

openoffice.org.spec has obsoletes for those. Glen didn't added provides
because: "it would help poldek upgrade-dist, but i think it's just
poisoning package deps".

php 5.1 support hasn't been integrated yet

and website:

The latest release, 0.9.5, supports PHP 4 and all PHP 5 releases including 5.2.



However my site started working somehow...

One more question - does anyone have phpMyAdmin working with php-5.2.1?
I'm struggling with this several hours now, has even upgraded my old
32-bit mysql to current and 64-bit but there's still no way to log in.
If I try a few times it lets me in for a while but then there's login
screen again. If I pass user other than mysql I got error
#1045 - Access denied for user 'http'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
                                ^^^^

Typo in myspell-dictionaries.spec. I'll fix it. There is also volunteer for TODO

Yes, I do.
Removing - I'd rather not, as it is semi-mission-critical machine ;-)
But IIRC, phpMyAdmin only displays a warning about possible problems
with multibyte charsets, when run without it.

And what about the kdelibs-khtml-slow_page_change.patch I've sent twice?
It comes from kde-packager so it is official and it *noticably*
increases speed of page change (after clicking on any link) and also
removes annoying flickering (without this patch page is scrolled to the
top after click and before change).

OK, so here it comes. Note that although it looks strange it's idea was
to disable recalcStyle( Force ); call. For some reason they didn't want
to remove this call. Maybe because it was placed there as solution to
minor problem with coloring of clicked links and they don't want to
revert it yet.

sent to ac builders. it most probably land in ac-updates (unless hawk decides 
to move it to main due this update doesn't introduce any deps changes).

Version on ftp (2.0.5-2) don't work with sqlite3 on ftp (3.3.10-1).
According to pysqlite website[1] this bug was fixed in 2.0.7 version. 
Patch upgradeing python-sqlite to 2.3.3 is in attachment. Builds and 
works. Someone with w+ please commit it and STBR. Thank you.

Since Ac has reached stable state we now need to maintain it for some
time. That means we need... ok, I need more than 5+ people working on
AC-branch. Unfortunately I'll not pay you for your work :(

To make maintaining a bit easier UTF specs will be allowed on AC-branch
and in updates tree (go and thanks blues for that if you want). However
please do not use UTF on AC-branch yet. Wait for iso images arrival
(next week). If you are doing some updates on HEAD, please do them on
AC-branch too (and vice versa). You'll make Ac live a bit longer :)

Now about Ac 2.1. Yes, there will be one (I hope) and it would be nice
to release it ASAP. Therefore I'm looking for people who will agree to
prepare following things for Ac 2.1:

- backport of modular xorg 7.2
- Gnome 2.18
- beryl/compiz
- GCC 4.1.x
- kernel 2.6.21 + related stuff like netfilter
- newer glibc (a big question here because it will be death sentence for
i386, I didn't decided yet if that will happen)
- any other newest hottest stuff you would like to see in Ac, but stable
releases only

Things above will need new branch (AC-devel?) and also new builders. So
if you can run Ac 2.1 builder, let me know. They're not needed yet, but
they will be needed in the future. First thing that should be
accomplished is GCC 4.1.x.

Now promised info for ftp mirror admins. All packages in Ac main tree
will be signed. That means that whole contents of Ac will be
retransfered to all mirrors. Signing should be done in next few days.

PL:

Poniewaz Ac jest juz oficjalnie stabilne musimy go przez jakis czas
utrzymywac. Potrzeba do tego... dobra, ja potrzebuje aby na AC-branch
pracowalo wiecej niz 5+ osob. Niestety nie bede w stanie placic tym,
ktorzy zechca pracowac nad Ac.

Aby troszke ulatwic zycie spece w UTF beda dozwolone na AC-branch i w
drzewku updates (kto chce, moze za to podziekowac bluesowi). Prosze
jednak nie konwertowac jeszcze calego AC-branch na UTF. Poczekajmy az
iso trafia na ftp. Jezeli robisz jakis update na HEAD, prosze, zrob go
tez na AC-branch (i vice versa). Dzieki temu Ac pozyje chwilke dluzej.

A teraz o Ac 2.1. Tak, bedzie taka wersja (mam nadzieje) i bylo by milo
aby wyszla ona najszybciej jak to mozliwe. Dlatego tez poszukuje osob,
ktore zgodza sie przygotowac nastepujace rzeczy dla Ac 2.1:

przyszlosci beda. Pierwsza rzecza jaka powinna zostac przygotowana jest
GCC 4.1.x.

A teraz obiecano info dla administratorow mirrorow. Wszystkie paczki w
glownym drzewku Ac zostana podpisane. To oznacza, ze cala zawartosc Ac
zostanie ponownie przetranferowana na wszystkie mirrory. Podpisywanie
pakietow bedzie mialo miejsce w najlblizszych dniach.

could rpmbuild invoke the requires/provider script only once passing (in STDIN) all the file from the same class.

it could speedup the packaging stage. for example script for pythondeps is able to cache $PYVER:

Yep. Major reworking would need to be done to batch entries however.

What needs to be established first is the reliability and usefulness  
of per-interpreter dependency
extraction. There's hardly a need to speed up extraction for seldom  
used unreliable functionality.

felt better this way. tomcat build needed those packages sources (it compiles 
and packages modified classes) so they should be available for BR.

of course could use tar.gz in tomcat, but then should maintain version 
upgrades in two places.

in any case maybe those sources requirement could be dropped if tomcat builds 
at all.

i think it would be better to move _svnrel into Release, or drop it if
there are no two versions with same _ver but different _svnrel

We don't know future ideas of Novell. It is third versioning system in 6
months.

Uhm, this way.

But introducing it in template-java isn't good idea, as it would cause
to propagate unnecessary -source packages to other new java packages.

I see, but moving _svnrel into Release will save bumping epoch in
future (2.1 -> 2.1.1), if this versioning is going to stay.

The .Niet D-Bus bindings we have in Th are pretty much obsolete as almost 
every new and most of the existing .Niet apps use the NDesk implementaion 
(http://www.ndesk.org/DBusSharp) of them. Are there any objections that I 
replace the spec with the NDesk one and bump it's epoch to 1?

The problem is the API isn't the same and it uses a completely different 
namespace also. Hmm, maybe it could go as dotnet-ndesk-dbus-sharp.spec 
(although the name looks completely silly) as it is bundled with pretty much 
every .Net app these days anyway...

This is pointless.  Should be s/php5/php_common/.  And it won't work
until this is fixed:

  $ gcc /usr/lib/libphp_common.so 2>&1 | grep so:

No, it doesn't make +3; I can only see +2 here.  "+1" means taking the
responsibility of coaching a new developer for a period of time.  Which
requires being subscribed to the mailing list.

I beleve Aria's proposal counts as +1.

Also, AFAIR there was a rule that person proposing is going to look
after new developer, anyway, I don't mind to check few commits.
