According to 'last' cmd there were four reboots today of cvs.pld-linux.org. 
After the last reboot the partition on which cvs resides hasn't mounted 
correctly (dunno why). This is fixed. If something still isn't working, write 
an email to this list. I'm heading out in half an hour, so maybe someone else 
will take care of it.

watchdog was supposed to be workaround of original problem (aka cvs kernel/xen 
hanging without logs).  It introduced another problem (ping to gw didn't 
respond sometime and watchdog rebooted guest) which is now fixed.

So we are still with the original problem...

adding eval to start-stop-daemon sounds like asking for more troubles.

Wasn't it you who introduced start-stop-daemon usage to rc-scripts and
created inconsistency in running daemons? Sorry, but default is
RC_LOGGING=yes and I really don't have the time to implement a workaround.

If you think initlog should die, then go ahead and kill it. Everyone
will be happy.

What for? They'll delete it again. The reasons for deletion were:

Good point, I haven't noticed this as I use mdadm and only have checked
if everything works without LVM tools. Commited.

Due to insufficient disk space, I had to (temporary) remove iso images from
ftp4 (ftp.atm). That gave us 95 GiB of space for fast-growing Th/Ti/AIDA
repositories.

Hi.

 	I have done that after discussion on #pld channel. I cannot recall 
who have advised me to do so, but main reason is migration from rsyslog to 
rsyslog5 makes some troubles and needs user's decision.

 	I don't care whether it will be a separate package or a branch. We 
should make this decision because glen keeps mailing me after every update 
in rsyslog5 ;). Also it could be two individual packages for a while and 
after rsyslog v.4 is no longer maintained we could merge it. The truth is 
that rsyslog5 is present in our CVS and it cannot be undone. So what is 
your opinion? Leave it or merge?

Hi all!

I want to compile moc 2.5.0alpha3 (spec file in DEVEL branch) but I receive the follow error message:

ltdl.c:318:1: warning: "strchr" redefined
In file included from /usr/include/string.h:635,
                 from ltdl.c:51:
/usr/include/bits/string2.h:396:1: warning: this is the location of the previous definition
ltdl.c:863: error: 'LTDL_OBJDIR' undeclared here (not in a function)

(and after that some other error messages that caused by LTDL_OBJDIR)

As I see the LTDL_OBJDIR is defined in aclocal.m4 but after the run of autotools it disappear.

Any suggestions?

according to filename, it seems it is building internal copy of ltdl,  
see if it can use system libtool -lltdl
