Nie. Już kiedyś to było omawiane pld-devel-en. devfsd nie jest
wymagane do tego by móc używać devfs. O ile pamiętam to uradziliśmy,
żeby zrobić taki pusty pakiet (devfs?), który miałby provides dev.
