suid na UAE - pytanie "po co?"

Hm nie wiem czy jest potrzebny bo sam program wymaga suid'a na gtk i ze 
zwykłego usera nie idzie - moim zdaniem można zdjąć z niego suid lub 
założyć na gtk. Oto komunikat z uae:
