OPENOFFICE.ORG ANNOUNCES VERSION 1.1.1

OpenOffice.org is proud to announce the immediate availability of the
new 1.1.1 version of the award-winning open source office suite,
codenamed Prague.

This new version is initially available on the Windows
(98/ME/NT/2000/XP), GNU/Linux (X86 and PowerPC) and Solaris (SPARC and
X86) platforms. In addition to this, the Mac OS X for X11 technology
preview is also available. Other platforms will be available shortly.

In addition to English, builds for Czech are immediately available with
other localisations following shortly.

Arriving less than six months after version 1.1.0 this release
demonstrates the resolve of the OpenOffice.org community to continuously
improve and expand the functionality of the suite.

OpenOffice.org 1.1.1 introduces several enhancements and new features
including the DicOOo AutoPilot, which downloads and installs any of the
87 spelling, hyphenation and thesaurus dictionaries currently available.

The new version builds upon and extends the existing features of
OpenOffice.org 1.1.0 including improvements to PDF (Adobe Acrobat)
export, font handling, decimal point interchangeability, performance as
well as the import and export filters.

The suite, according to the terms of its open source licenses (LGPL &
SISSL), is free for all to use, improve, modify, and to redistribute to
anyone.

the CD-ROM distributors listed at
