rc-scripts psuja ustawienia sysctl?

hmm...
wytlumaczcie mi coś, bo nie rozumiem:
[root at sv1 eth0]# pwd
/proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/eth0
[root at sv1 eth0]# sysctl -p /etc/sysctl.conf |grep redirect
net.ipv4.conf.all.accept_redirects = 0
net.ipv4.conf.eth0.accept_redirects = 0
net.ipv4.conf.all.send_redirects = 0
net.ipv4.conf.eth0.send_redirects = 0
[root at sv1 eth0]# cat accept_redirects 
0
[root at sv1 eth0]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart
Wyłączanie interfejsu eth0.........................................[ ZROBIONE ]
Podnoszenie interfejsu eth0........................................[ ZROBIONE ]
Ustawianie statycznych wpisów ARP..................................[ ZROBIONE ]
[root at sv1 eth0]# cat accept_redirects

co tam miesza??? i na jakiej podstawie?
oraz jak to wyłączyć? ;)
