Plik initrd ma 0 bajtów, wiadomo jak to się kończy. :(
Maszyna ma 751MB RAM.
Przestawiłem w /etc/sysconfig/geninitrd:
## Compression for the initrd.
## lzma / bzip2 / gzip.
## yes (default) = the 'best' available is chosen.
COMPRESS=gzip

Pomogło, ale pewnie ktoś się jeszcze może zdziwić.
