IMHO both are good and both could be usable. Some ppl would like to get
hooked up full time, some would like to make something in their free
time. IMHO just publish the list and some ppl will take a project
full-time, some part-time and violla!

Well this would be a *BIG* step forward for PLD, especially targeting
desktops.
