Problem z dyskiem ! Czy jest OK ?

Witam !

Mam problem z dyskiem, potrzebuje jakichś informacji. Otóż po paru h pracy,
dysk nie jest widziany przez Win (to nie mój dysk) po restarcie nie widać
żadnych tablic partycji. Nie wiem czy dobrze to rozumiem, podaje komunikaty:

[root w HOME /root]# cat /proc/ide/hdb/geometry
physical     13232/15/63
logical      778/255/63

smartctl -a /dev/hdb  to wystawiłem na www, żeby odciążyć modemowców:

czy te wartości są napewno OK ? Bo nie moge dobrze zrozumieć tej
dokumentacji.

Wyłączyłem DMA dla pewności:
[root w HOME /root]# hdparm /dev/hdb

/dev/hdb:
 multcount    =  0 (off)
 IO_support   =  0 (default 16-bit)
 unmaskirq    =  0 (off)
 using_dma    =  0 (off)
 keepsettings =  0 (off)
 readonly     =  0 (off)
 readahead    = 32 (on)

Nie działają oba programy:
[root w HOME /root]# fdisk /dev/hdb
Unable to seek on /dev/hdb


[root w HOME /root]# cfdisk /dev/hdb
FATAL ERROR: Bad primary partition 1: Partition begins after end-of-disk
Press any key to exit cfdisk


Działa natomiast sfdisk ale nie wiem co wpisać !

[root w HOME /root]# sfdisk /dev/hdb
Checking that no-one is using this disk right now ...
OK

Disk /dev/hdb: 778 cylinders, 255 heads, 63 sectors/track
Warning: extended partition does not start at a cylinder boundary.
DOS and Linux will interpret the contents differently.
llseek: Zły argument

sfdisk: seek error on /dev/hdb - cannot seek to 2152608383

Input in the following format; absent fields get a default value.
<start> <size> <type [E,S,L,X,hex]> <bootable [-,*]> <c,h,s> <c,h,s>
Usually you only need to specify <start> and <size> (and perhaps <type>).

/dev/hdb1 :

Co tu mam wpisać ? Te wartości które są z dysku (Cyl-13232/Head-15/Sec-63)
czy te co pokazuje /proc/ide/hdb/geometry (Cyl-778/Head-255/Sec-63) ??
