Coś z SysVinit?

Witam.
Prowadiłem instalację PLD ac za pomocą PLDRescue v 1.92.
(Nie pierwszy raz - poprzednio wszystko szło gładko). 
Procedura normalna: partycje, mounty, komenda:

poldek --install-dist=/mnt/conf --pset=/mnt/conf/inst/skrot --mkdir \ 
--cachedir=/mnt/conf/tmp -c /mnt/conf/inst/poldek.conf

przy czym /mnt/conf/inst/skrot zawiera

SysVinit
FHS
poldek
mc
dhcpcd
bash
openssh-clients
kernel
login
openssh

zaś jedynym aktywnym zapisem source w poldek.conf jest

source = ac     ftp://ftp.pld-linux.org/dists/ac/PLD/i686/PLD/RPMS/

Wszystko idzie gładko, poldek nie rzuca żadnymi błędami, potem chroot, 
poprawki w fstab, lilo.conf jak zawsze, nowy user, hasła, geninitrd, 
reboot i...
zamiast normalnie wystartować wchodzi w tryb single.
No to PLDRescue, chroot, sprawdzenie:

poldek> ls SysV*
SysVinit-2.85-4
poldek> ls -I SysV*

poldek>

no dobra...

poldek> install SysVinit

po reboocie już nie wszedł w single - tylko wywalił

kernal panic: attempt to kill init

Co z tym zrobić? Help...

W googlach na temat "attempt to kill init" znalazłem tylko przypadek z 
VMVare :(, a o pre...scriptlet failed, że to byk w specu ...
