[AC/PPC] X-y na ATI Rage 128

Czy ktoś odpalił X-y na PowerPC (kernel 2.4.27-1) z kartą ATI Rage 128 na 
sterowniku X11-driver-r128 ? Działa mi na fbdev, ale jakoś tak... dziwnie 
(nie chce odpalić grafiki w trybie 1024x768, ale jeszcze nie umiem ustawiać 
framebuffera). Przy próbie użycia drivera ati (r128) dostaję tylko taki 
komunikat:

Załadowany odpowiedni moduł dri (r128), zamontowane /dev/drm (może 
niekoniecznie potrzebne, ale nie przeszkadza), itp, itd. Niby wszystko OK. 
Ale nie działa. Czy ten typ tak ma i nie ma innego wyjścia, jak używać 
framebuffera, czy też da się jakoś odpalić natywny sterownik? Jeśli to 
drugie - to oczywiście jak :-)
