caching the rpm files

It appears that the downloaded rpm files are temporarily stored
in /root/.poldek-cache and deleted after succesful install.  What
I would like to be able to do (via config file?) is:

[1] redirect storage to some other location
[2] retain the originals after install/upgrade

Some of these files take forever to download.  It would be nice
to keep them.
