Trident 9750 3D

Hello Linuxer´s...

 A have a question and , you or us give me a aswer...i
have a Video Card trident 3d 9750, a monitor
Stuidoworks 560N, and XFree86 - 4.2.1 installing in my
Conectiva Linux 8.0, but i can´t get the resolution
most  bigger then 8bpp...in 16 bpp and 24 bpp the
colors stay like a Jimmy Hendrix Song(psycodelic
colors)...Please i try everything to configuring this
thing but always stay wrong...so what i gonna do
?...please if you konw this problem and know the
solution please send me her...
i gonna stay verific the XFree86-4 archive...
