Title:         design flaw in lvmcreate_initrd
Ticket ID:     #80
Package:       lvm-0.9-1
Distribution:  PLD-Ra.main
Category: doesn't work as it should
Current state: closed -- can't be resolved
Text:

lvmcreate_initrd conflicts with assumptions from geninitrd:
* it's creating e2fs initial ramdisk
* it's not loading block devices (ide-ata in my case) nor filesystems (reiserfs in my case) modules at startup
* it's using /bin/sh and not /bin/ksh

so... as i can't find out the way how to call a initrd from within initrd (chroot???), i'm closing this ticket.

workaround: compile kernel from sources and add your block device settings and filesystem support into it's core. then just run lvmcreate_initrd.
*** State changed to 'closed -- can't be resolved'
