Yeah, I've found it (after reporting this bug). BTW - vim-static built
in my environment (gcc-4.4.3-5.i686, binutils-2.20.51.0.2-1.i686) is OK.

when I run /bin/vi, I've got:

Vim: Caught deadly signal ABRT
Vim: Finished.
Aborted

/usr/bin/vim works OK.

$ rpm -q vim-static
vim-static-7.2.436-2.i686
