The question I have (for rpm-4.5) is this:
    Why is -lgomp needed?
There's nothing in RPM itself that needs -lgomp.

Yes, if you link -lgomp (even if -lgomp isn't needed), you may see
RPM failures because -lgomp linkage almost certainly (unchecked)
rearranges how ELF executables are loaded in case #pragma was used.
