About Beijing 
Beijing is endowed with rare cultural heritage due to its long history.
As the capital of China, Beijing is one of the world's most truly imposing cities, with a 3,000-year history and over 15 million people. Covering 16,808 square kilometers in area, it is the political, cultural and economic center of the People's Republic of China.  
 
Climate
Extremely diverse, from tropical in the summer to sub-arctic in the winter. Beijing has a continental monsoon climate with clear-cut seasons. Spring is dry and windy. Summer is hot and humid. Autumn offers the best weather, with generous sunshine. In winter, the city is severely affected by freezing winds from Siberia. 
 
Airport
Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) services the largest number of international and domestic airlines. It is about 50 minutes' ride from the city center.

The Great Wall - one of the great wonders of the world , and the sole man - made structure that can be seen from space, extends several hundred miles from Beijing well into the depths of the Gobi desert.
The Temple of Heaven – was the place of worship for emperors of various dyn asties, and it is home to some of China's greatest ancient architectural. 
The Forbidden City - In the heart of the city, easily the most splendid of all the imperial palaces in the world; 
The Summer Palace - northern suburbs of Beijing are home to the poetic and picturesque.
These four places listed above have been selected by the United Nations as world heritage sites, ensuring their protection for generations to come.
