SMB unavailable under konqueror

Accessing any SMB share in Konqueror results in:

Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Error loading 'kio_smb'.

strace of klauncher gives the reason:

read(42, "Could not open library \'/usr/lib/kde3/kio_smb.la
\'.\n/usr/lib/libsmbclient.so.0: undefined symbol:
secrets_fetch_machine_password\0", 128) = 128

Something not rebuilt with the current libraries?

$ rpm -qf /usr/lib/kde3/kio_smb.so /usr/lib/libsmbclient.so.0
konqueror-3.3.1-3
libsmbclient-3.0.8-2
