-pie option in our gcc is missing

Drepper was again so ,,nice'' to say something interesting:

,,What I do not understand is why somebody would have libselinux installed
but doesn't care enough about security to have a compiler with -fpie
support.''

It looks like our gcc doesn't accept -pie option while others that I've 
checked (like 3.3.3 fedora) do support it.

Where it disappeared (or ...)?
