i said in first lines on email:
 > (pld has --downgrade alias to --oldpackage via popt)
 > downgrading from repackage lost config files,
 > i.e saved them as .rpmsave leaving original path missing
meaning that:
1. --downgrade is alias to --oldpackage
2. the files marked as %config were missing, i.e /etc/config was 
missing, only /etc/config.rpmsave present, leaving application broken
i.e renamed to .rpmsave while base config was not kept.
