vesafb does not work on 2.2.18

Hello!

When I have VGA=0x307 on 2.2.17 everything goes OK, but when i reboot it
under 2.2.18, screen goes blank and thats all. Nothing happens. SysRq keys
does not work so I assume it hangs. Any solution?
