Installation problem

Hi!

I have successfully installed PLD on one system, but on other machine I run
into a lot of problems :-(
I install PLD on /dev/hdc2, everything goes ok, selmod, chroot, lilo,
passwd, etc... I reboot the computer, PLD starts booting, and then I got
something like that:

Checking root filesystems.............[work]
(null):
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2 [...]
you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock: e2fsck -b 8193
<device>

fsck.ext2: Is a directory while trying to open /

When I try running e2fsck I got:
Bad magic number in superblock while trying to open /dev/hdc2.

Could anyone help me? After half of day fighting with this I am completely
out of ideas :-(((
