Problem z VLAN 802.1q na naszym 2.6

Witam

Próbowałem dziś odpalić  vlany 802.1q na naszym 2.6 na AC:
kernel-2.6.8-4
vlan-1.8-2
iproute2-2.6.8-3

Interface się podnoszą, ale nie działa ip a ani ifconifg - zawisają  -
nie można ich nawet skilować
