configure - problemy

hm... wyjaśnienie jest przy teście na wersję pnm:
if ppmmake 0,0,0 16 16 | pnmtotiff -color -truecolor >/dev/null 2>&1; then

który to na pld zwraca:
[undefine w amd64-devel undefine]$ ppmmake 0,0,0 16 16 | pnmtotiff -color -truecolor >/dev/null

pnmtotiff: Unable to write TIFF image 0 to file.  tifWriteDirectory() failed.
dlaczego?
strzelam na:
pnmtotiff: Output file (Standard Output) is not seekable.  lseek() returned errno 29 (Illegal seek).  The TIFF library can write only to a seekable file., gdy /dev/null raczej "seekable" nie jest.
workaround w cvs-ie

a tutaj problem jest innego rodzaju...
configure:10040: ./conftest
Could not initialize SDL: No available video device
configure:10043: $? = 255

ale dlaczego chce inicjować SDL-a z poziomu buildera ani jak to
wyłączyć... to już o tej godzinie nie będe patrzeć ;)
