ten patch juz był w repo jako john-1.6.PLD.diff - ponieważ z
1.6.PLD.diff wyleciała reszta zmieniłem mu tylko nazwę na bardziej
pasującą do zawartości.
Co do john.spec - to mam jeszcze parę uwag od Solara:
# Conditional build:
%bcond_with mmx # MMX optimization
# Optimization must be chosen at compile time :(
# Maybe some patch...? But not yet.
This is no longer true - and no patch is needed. If you don't have
the
time to enable the runtime fallback properly, maybe at least the
comment
should be changed?
%description is outdated - based on 1.6's README. Perhaps you want to
base it on 1.7's instead - or just pick one from the Owl spec file.
sed -i -e 's/CLK_TCK/CLOCKS_PER_SEC/g' src/*.c
What's this? If it's not needed anymore, then please drop it. If
it's
still needed, then I'd like to receive a proper bug report.
If you drop this, then also drop:
BuildRequires: sed >= 4.0
# bleh... MMX code must be chosen at compile time :(
# cannot use MMX for generic i586 nor i686 (Pentium/Pentium Pro have
no MMX)
Same comment as above.
# K6 optimization exists only in Makefile
There was a -k6 target in 1.6, but there isn't one in 1.7. This
comment
should be dropped.
%ifarch sparc64
TARG=linux-sparc
The linux-sparc target is for 32-bit sparc ("sparc" and "sparcv9"
target names in RPM). I don't think it will result in a working build
if used on sparc64 (assuming that by sparc64 you mean what others do -
that is, a fully 64-bit userland, not a 32/64 user/kernel mix). Use
"generic" on Linux/sparc64 until I add an explicit linux-sparc64
target.
Revision 1.34 2004/08/12 10:48:45 undefine
- disable linux-sparc target on sparc32 - it's really sparv8 asm
version(but doesn't work on sparcv9 machines too(?))
There was an incompatibility of the linux-sparc target with glibc
2.3.x
(and possibly also with late 2.2.x) which could have caused this. I've
since fixed that - so you can use linux-sparc for "sparc" and
"sparcv9"
builds again (but _not_ for "sparc64").
Why didn't "undefine" report this problem to me?..
Requires: words
Where does this dependency come from? Is it obsolete?
