It isn't bash redirection.  It is POSIX sh redirection of stderr. This is
correct in DOS and Windows too.

/dev/null ?
Mayby detected in configure and using if exist. If no exist tmp files mayby
using instead.
BTW please read note about tmp files creation.

I found one bug: if I reading manula page with pinfo and follow link to
no-existing manual page then pinfo write error messages and redraw screen
without wait for user.  Please let me chance to read this error message.
