Wypalanie płytek na jajku 2.6 - nagrywarka odmawia posłuszeństwa

Mam problem z wypalaniem płyt CD na jajku 2.6.

Dlaczego nie mam tutaj nagrywaki, tylko samo DVD??? Kernel sam
automatycznie "wie", że ma emulować nagrywarkę jako napęd scsi i to
robi?

Tymczasem... niewiem dlaczego i jak to jest, ale
DVD-ROM to /dev/hdd <- jest ok
CD-RW to /dev/scd0 mimo, iż powinno być /dev/hdc <- dlaczego???

Wypalanie w X-cdroast wygląda następująco (a wygląda to tak, że wkładam
czystą płytkę do nagrywarki, po czym ona myśli, myśli... (jakieś 20/30
sekund) a dzieję się to przy "Performing OPC", po czym wypluwa zaraz
płytkę i nie rozpoczyna sesji, ani wypalania):

Zatem co jest nie tak??? Dlaczego nie mogę wypalić żadnej płytki
potrzebna jest mi jakaś emulacja? wpisy do /etc/modules.conf czy gdzieś
indziej ? A może jeszcze coś innego?
Będę wdzięczny za jakiekolwiek wskazówki, a najlepiej jak podpowiedział
mi ktoś, kto już wypala płytki mając jajko 2.6.x?
