Załadowałeś via-agp? Bo bez tego to na pewno działać nie będzie.

Próbowałeś o co prosił? Czyli spróbować przez odpaleniem X-ów ręcznie moduł 
fglrx z parametrem agp_try_unsupported=1 ? Jeśli nie, to spróbuj.
