Exim pop-before-smtp

Hi all,

I've got a set of scripts from http://cc.ysu.edu/~doug/exim-pop.tar.Z which
is based on tailing /var/adm/log for IP/host information. It then uses this
in exim's configure:

sender_host_accept_relay = "127.0.0.1:\
lsearch;/usr/local/exim/popauth"

I've looked around and seen that Solid logs to /var/log/messages and that
there is no accounting of hostnames/ips - only usernames. I can't seem to
find any howto's on the web for getting Solid to work with a similar method.
Could anyone give me a hand or point me in the right direction?
