Run man on spop3d.conf and search for those directives that are failing, and see what they are accociated with. Also see the file CONFIGFILE in the top level of the CVS checkout. Do that then let us know how it goes :-) BTW, could you please tell me what address you used to post to the list? I'm unable to post right now, not sure what's gone wrong. -- ------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Central Texas IT Clickpatrol.com Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com From efetepe at efetepe.com Tue Mar 12 06:33:02 2002 From: efetepe at efetepe.com (EFETEPE MANAGER) Date: Tue Dec 20 11:33:48 2005 Subject: I'm new user -- HELLO -- I'm question !! EM >Hello, thank's Jonathan EM > EM >But where Can I find lastest CVS version, in the oficial website the last EM >version is 0.15 ??? Yes, there are instructions for making a cvs check out on the web site, under the section "NEW RELEASE": export CVSROOT=:pserver:cvs@cvs.pld.org.pl:/cvsroot cvs login cvs get solid-pop3d EM >Oficial WebSite: http://solidpop3d.pld.org.pl/ ??? That's the one. EM > EM >One more thing: Somebody can send me the correct complet spop3d.conf file EM >??? Um, no, it doesn't work that way. What you put in your spop3d .conf is entriely dependant on what compile options you use, which in turn depends on what you're trying to do. Perhaps if you describe what kind of service you want to offer we might be able to help you a little better. BTW (not that I"m an English teacher :-) "thank's" should actually just be "thanks" -- using a " ' " implies either that something belongs to the "thing" ("thing" in this case would be "thank") or else that part of the word has been removed (for example, "there's" is short for the phrase "there is" -- the i has been removed) but that's not the case with the word "thanks" Sorry, hope you don't mind me pointing that out - just trying to help :-) P.S. please continue to post to the list even though I can't :-) because that way other peple can see at least your side of the conversation. I'm still trying to figure out why I sometimes can't post. -- ------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Central Texas IT Clickpatrol.com Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com From michael.bartlett at workshare.com Thu Mar 21 17:58:52 2002 From: michael.bartlett at workshare.com (michael.bartlett@workshare.com) Date: Tue Dec 20 11:33:48 2005 Subject: pop before smtp Message-ID: many moons ago i posted a question about using a pop before smtp auth method with postfix and solidpop3d i finally got it up and running using pop_before_smtp (http://bent.latency.net/pop-before-smtp/) note that you need to edit the script and add this line to the regex blocks (which i've sent to the owner, so maybe it will be out in the next release of the script) my $pat = '^(... .. ..:..:..) \S+ spop3d\[\d+\]: ' .
