I've just added geo_ops patch from RH 8.0 updates, which
fixes the polygon() issue.

cach_out() issue is much larger problem (refering to many
functions), not fixed in RH.
It's fixed in postgresql 7.3 line, but changes were big
(several hundreds of lines).
