hi

have you tried to look devel files (.spec, .c, .o) in light terminal (white 
background)? well, those yellow on white are not readable.

so i had an idea, maybe implement colour schemes to /etc/DIR_COLORS, dark and 
light, which is controllable by env var $LS_COLOR_SHEME, which defaults to 
dark if unset.

and then /etc/shrc.d/fileutils.sh just sources different DIR_COLOURS file 
depending on user preferrence.
