(CHINASHOP2003) and China Material Handling 2003, which are authorized by 
China's Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC), and 
sponsored by China Commercial Development Center and Beijing General Chamber 
of Commerce. Its first session will convene from May 10-12 2003 at China 
International Exhibition Center in Beijing.

The CHINASHOP2003 aims to promote exchange and cooperation in the 
international commercial sectors including commercial automation facilities 
and technologies, commercial networking and security systems, restaurant and 
catering equipments, franchise and chain stores, design technologies, 
supermarket merchandise, material handling, etc. To serve the need of rapid 
commercial development, China Material Handling 2003 will be held at the 
same time same venue.

With the success of Olympic bid and China's entrance into WTO, Beijing has 
become a focus of the world. With commercial development as an important 
part in its next ten-year development plan, Beijing has made a large 
investment in the infrastructure construction for transportation, tourism, 
and commerce. China's fast growing economy, coupled with its ever-improving 
living standard, has expanded household consumption and made popular brand 
names and consumer products from all over the world. Retail giants from 
various countries and regions including USA, Germany, France, England, 
Holland, Spain, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, have launched their business 
into the country's huge market by establishing large retail stores.

Conferences are scheduled to be held concurrently with the show. With an 
analysis on neo-commercial opportunities with China's Entry into WTO and 
2008 Beijing Olympic Games, China Commercial Development Forum will not only 
provide Beijing Municipal Commercial policy, planning, and investment plan, 
but will also provide investment information and invitation for public 
bidding towards the construction of new commercial centers in Beijing.

Beijing International Commercial Exposition will provide best business
