I doubt if it will be ever done for 2.6.x.
I see that there is even no "keep" flag, and unloading all "unused"
modules would e.g. turn off ethernet adapters... nobody wants it.
It seems that auto-unloading is deprecated; some kernel hackers even
wanted to deprecate module unloading at all... (ugly idea)
