No luck running latest update of XFree86 from nest-test. I'm still
using kernel from ra; does this need to be updated in sync, perhaps?
I have a card with an nVidia RIVA128 chipset. (Yes! It sucks! I
already know.) XFree86 changelog (
http://www.xfree86.org/cvs/changes.html ) contains the line
334. Substantial rewrite of the "nv" driver (Mark Vojkovich).
which sounds rather ominous to me.
