hi dear list again,

the strange thing is that telnet localhost 110

user
pass
retr <no of message>

is working fine. But if trying to download messages with Outlook Express 5
or Netscape Messenger it fails everytime :

Aug 14 15:36:26 x1.wynanet.ch spop3d[13305]: [ID 702911 daemon.notice]
send_ok(): can't write to socket
Aug 14 15:36:26 x1.wynanet.ch spop3d[13305]: [ID 702911 daemon.notice]
send_ok(): can't write to socket
Aug 14 15:36:26 x1.wynanet.ch spop3d[13305]: [ID 702911 daemon.notice]
write: Broken pipe
Aug 14 15:36:26 x1.wynanet.ch spop3d[13305]: [ID 702911 daemon.notice]
write: Broken pipe

Unfortunately I am not very familiar with sockets. Please what's wrong ?

best regards,

Jan
