doinstalowalem sobie postgresa, ale nie moge zainicjowac zadnej bazy.
Wyskakuje mi cos takiego:
<---CUT--->
[root w xeon lib]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/postgresql init
Note: this is only simple init action for convenience.
If you want some non-standard options, consider using initdb(1).
Initializing cluster /var/lib/pgsql
The files belonging to this database system will be owned by user "postgres".
This user must also own the server process.
The database cluster will be initialized with locale pl_PL.
This locale setting will prevent the use of indexes for pattern matching
operations. If that is a concern, rerun initdb with the collation order
set to "C". For more information see the Administrator's Guide.

Success. You can now start the database server using:
/usr/bin/postmaster -D /var/lib/pgsql
or
/usr/bin/pg_ctl -D /var/lib/pgsql -l logfile start
REMEMBER to setup password for user !
