Problem z dnsmasq

Witam.

Zainstalowalem u siebie dnsmasq zamiast binda aby mozna bylo sie 
komunikowac za pomoca nazw hostow dopisanych do /etc/hosts
W logach wyglada wszystko poprawnie:

Mar  1 13:27:41 serwer dnsmasq[17824]: read /etc/hosts - 12 addresses
Mar  1 13:27:41 serwer dnsmasq: dnsmasq startup  succeeded

Dodalem do /etc/hosts

192.168.0.55    test
192.168.1.55    test2

Restart dnsmasq.
Na serwerze bezposrednio pinguje bez problemu po nazwie hosta "ping test"
Na kompach klienckich (windozy) niestety juz nie dziala po nazwach hosta.
Oczywiscie jako preferowany serwer DNS mam wpisany 192.168.0.1
Co moze byc przyczyna? Czy trzeba jeszcze cos skonfigurowac w dnsmasq?
Ja uzywam statycznych adresow IP, wiec dodalem do /etc/dnsmasq.conf:

no-dhcp-interface=eth1 eth2
