Q about quoting strings in the config file

I was just reading the man page for spop3d.conf, and noticed this:

There  are  4 types of
       options:

              boolean
                     its argument can be "yes"  (or  "true")  and
                     "no" (or "false")

              string its  argument  is  string.  String should be
                     quoted (read the section BUGS).
        ...

I couldn't find the section "BUGS", but does that mean all strings in the config file should be quoted as follows?

        DpUIDUser       "spop3d"
        DpUIDDBFile     "/etc/virtual/mail3.servicemail123.com/mail3.servicemail123.com"

?

None of the example config files shows quotes.
